The First Tee program of Massachusetts enters its 15th year by offering spring afterschool/weekend programs at Hyannis Golf Course.
Starting in mid-April, classes meet once weekly for two hours (nine total classes). The cost is $55/participant. Financial assistance is available for families in need.
The program emphasizes nine core values: honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy, and judgment.
Through golf and core values, kids and teens learn life skills like making proper introductions; managing emotions; resolving conflicts; setting up step-by-step goals; planning for the future; and appreciating diversity.
