Civic Association Meeting Tonight 7:30pm

On Tuesday May 17, 2022 at 7:30pm the Cotuit-Santuit Civic Association will host the Cotuit Fire District’s Annual Candidates & Budgets Night via ZOOM.

This is your chance to review the Cotuit Fire District’s Annual Budget and Warrant and ask questions of the elected officials and to learn more about the citizens running in this year’s district elections.

There are three members of each of the Prudential Committee and the Boards of Fire and Water Commissioners, serving staggered 3-year terms so that one seat opens up for election each year.  This year Fran Parks is running for re-election to a new 3 year term for Prudential Committee and Kevin Conley for the Fire Commission.  (each is running unopposed.)   No one submitted papers for the Water Commissioner’s vacancy occurring as a result of the expiration of Scott Horsley’s term.  That seat will be determined by write-in vote.  The Cotuit Fire District also elects a Moderator, whose task is to chair the Annual Meeting.  Ken Molloy is not running for re-election.  John Gardner has submitted papers to run for that post.
