UPDATE:  The application has been continued to the Wednesday January 27, 2021 meeting.

On Wednesday January 13, 2021 at 7pm, the application for a Proposed Private Pier at 33 Oyster Place, Cotuit will be before the Zoning Board of Appeals.   This item was not heard but continued from the December 9, 2020 ZBA meeting.

  1. Is there not a long-standing moratorium on new pier construction, for a sound reason? Many concerns here, in addition to environmental destruction, yet more over-crowding of a small harbor, and the questionable ethics of mixing private and public ventures. If the Town needs more dock space, let’s expand the existing Town Dock and avoid the slippery slope of entering into business with a self-serving private party.
