Cotuit Firecracker 5k

Benefits: Cotuit-Santuit Civic Association & The Cotuit Athletic Association (The Cotuit Kettleers)

Where: 10 Lowell Avenue, Lowell Park, Cotuit, MA 02635

Start Times:

  • 5:40pm for youth six and under
  • 5:45pm for youth 7-12
  • 6:00pm for 5k

Distances:

  • Youth six and under 100 yards
  • Youth 7-12 ½ mile
  • Main run 5k

Start Locations:

  • Youth six and under – at entrance to Lowell Park
  • Youth 7-12 – At finish line of 5k
  • 5k – at the corner of Lowell Ave and Main Street

Awards: Prize money to first five finishers, male and female – $300.00 for first, $75.00 for second, $50.00 for third $37.50 for both fourth and fifth, medals to all youth twelve and under and first in each age group

Age Groups: 20 and under, 21 – 39, 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60-69, 70 -79, 80 plus

Entry Fee:

  • 6 and under free
  • 7-12 $10.00
  • 13-18 $15.00
  • 19 and over-$30.00 until June 12, $32.50 from June 13th-July 3, $35.00 on Race day

Swag: Free cotton-t to first 150 to register

FOOD, MUSIC, ICE GREAM SANDWICHES FOR YOUTH UNDER 21, A FREE BEER FOR ALL 21 AND OVER

Fourth of July Parade

The Cotuit-Santuit Civic Association proudly presents The Cotuit 4th of July Parade!

Promptly at 11 am, the parade will begin at the Cotuit Post Office, proceed down School Street, turn left onto Main Street ending at the rear entrance of the Waldorf School.

To participate in the parade you must register HERE .

Directly following the parade all are welcome to Lowell Park

Town of Barnstable Fireworks

FIREWORKS DISPLAY: TUESDAY, JULY 4, 2017 (Shot off of a barge in Lewis Bay, Hyannis at dusk (9:00 PM) by Atlas Fireworks of New Hampshire.

Viewing: The main viewing locations for this year’s fireworks will be Aselton Park, Bismore Park, and Veteran’s Park Beach. Kalmus Beach will be available for handicapped parking only.

Fireworks Parking (Barnstable): A Parking Ban will be in effect South of South Street (Ocean Street, Old Colony Boulevard, Gosnold Street and all streets running off of Gosnold Street) from 5:00 PM to midnight to allow for pedestrian access. Parking will be available in the North Street parking lots and Town Hall parking lot. Tow Zones Strictly Enforced. Carpooling suggested.

Tune into 95.1 WXTK for the official soundtrack to the fireworks during the display.

6-30-17 beach update
Cross Street beach in Cotuit (Rileys) met State Swimming Beach standards from Wednesday’s retest.The beach is open for swimming.

Lovell’s Pond has improved & it is safe for swimming.

Lovell’s Pond Boat Ramp

The pet advisory is still in place to protect dogs, who may drink the water at the boat ramp.
