UPDATE: Shellfishing Reopens at Sunrise Monday August 23, 2021

The division of marine fisheries has instituted a statewide shellfishing closure effective at sunrise Sunday August 22, 2021 until further notice. They will revisit the closure following the hurricane.

This is Only a Test

The FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency will be conducting a national test in coordination with Federal Communications Commission of the Emergency Alert System at 2:20- 2:50 PM ET on August 11, 2021.

The Integrated Public Alert & Warning System (IPAWS) is FEMA’s national system for local alerting that provides authenticated emergency and life-saving information to the public through mobile phones using Wireless Emergency Alerts, to radio and television via the Emergency Alert System, and on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Weather Radio Graphic

Test Alert. This is a test of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is needed.

The IPAWS National Test Test messages will be sent to TVs and radios, along with select cell phones that have opted-in to receive test messages.
